In August 2020 Internationella Engelska Skolan will open a school in Östersund for around 600 students from grade F-9.
We would like to invite parents, students and the wider community to an information evening about the school in PB-Salen at Folkets Hus Östersund. The event will be held on Thursday, 14 November.
Years F-3: 17:30-18:30
Years 4-9: 19:00-20:00
The audience will hear from Pascal Brisson, principal of IES Sundsvall. Mr Brisson opened the school in Sundsvall in 2009, and has run it ever since. This year, again, 100 per cent of the graduating class qualified to attend gymnasiet, compared to an average in Sundsvall of 84 per cent.
Those attending will also have the chance to meet representatives of IES, and to ask questions.
Today there are 26,800 students in our 37 schools. Every school follows our conviction that each individual student can achieve their full potential through:
- A safe and orderly environment, where teachers can teach and students learn.
- Command of the English language – the key to the world. Up to half of our teaching is in English, performed by certified native English-speaking teachers.
- High academic expectations.
The school is open to everyone. Places will be available on a first-come, first-served basis according to how long students have been in the queue, which can be found here.
